A piece of the first steel plate used in the construction of the
QM2
of Cunard Line.  Created by Alstom Chantiers de L'Atlantique, the shipbuilder as a commemorative souvenir for dignitaries at the ceremonial cutting of the first piece of steel plate for the
QUEEN MARY 2
on January 16, 2002.  In a special presentation box, the piece of steel plate measures 2" by 2" by .5" thick. QM2 and 16-01-02 are marked on the steel.  A rare opportunity to own an actual piece of hull from the QM2.  Very few of these were done.
