    Details
    Description:
A beautiful crisp uncirculated Banknote from the State of Sonora in Mexico. This is the January 1, 1915 series A one peso issued according to Decree No. 13 of August 27, 1913. The banknote depicts the portraits of Francisco Madero at left and J. M. Pino Suarez at right both in black and white over a pale yellow background with black writing on the front. The back is green with the image of an eagle with a snake in its beak (the seal of the Mexican Republic) with the words Republica Mexicana and the words Goberno del Estado Libre Y Soberno De Sonora surrounding the eagle in its center within. There is a scalloped red treasury seal at the top left corner and the letters JR-XXX in the right corner of the back. This particular note has the serial number 87533 in red displayed twice on the front and is not displayed on the back. The note has four printed signatures displayed on the bottom of the front but has no water mark that we could find. The paper of the note is crisp and the colors are fresh and vivid. Please carefully review the scan provided as it is part and parcel of our description.
